Domo Music Group will release Music For Sleep this Friday February 8th, 2019.

Music For Sleep cover“Chronic sleep problems can be physically draining, and turn what should be hours of blissful escape into anxiety-ridden nightly recurrences.  Set aside the daily grind and unwind with music designed specifically to promote soothing dream states, and provide more rejuvenation in the morning.  Not to mention the proven benefits of lower heart rate and lower blood pressure, reduced insomnia, and increased energy the next day.”

This compilation has been meticulously curated by Dino Malito (Serum, Captain Black Heart) to help the listener truly disconnect from the daily stress most people experience. I have personally used this selection of songs to unwind, I’ve been lucky enough to have an advance copy that has come in very handy over the past few months and highly recommend it. Featuring Kitaro, Dino Malito and a selection of other ethereal artists and their compositions. Please navigate below to learn more. Hope your new year is off to a good start! xxx

Hey everybody, so here we are again eh? Another year on the horizon and another about to be behind us. Time flies and it’s tricky to keep up. Hard to believe this Blog is just over a year old too. I had a lot of cool content within it’s short life to make it a good source for music above or way below ground. For me it’s a labor of love. It’s also tough to add pieces weekly like I had originally planned, which isn’t a bad thing, it just means I’m busy with other projects and the times that I do post make each installment that much more special. I looked back at some of the stats for this year and honestly can’t believe the amount of attention some of the installments received. So cool to see that, I’ve also gotten some really rad feedback. My intent is to keep it going and to add some more great content. I’m making a list of people I’m going to try to hit up for interviews, finally finish my TOP 100 albums list, review some more shows and just add some general rambling. Keeps my mind sharp! And finally, before I wish all of you a Happy New Year. My band, NOX CULT also had a pretty cool year and we are wrapping it up with the release of our Live EP, “Fucking Live” which just came out on Christmas. Please, if you are interested check us out and the EP. It’s a pretty bad ass recording and just a peek behind our sometimes mysterious curtain.

And so…HAPPY NEW YEAR, go forth and do good things and try to enjoy your life!

Happy New Year everybody. Thanks for checking out MUSIC-SURCIVAL-GUIDE over the last couple of months. I hope to be able to bring you a lot more musings in 2015! For my last post for the last day of 2014 I want to leave you with 2 songs…

One, appropriately enough is “New Year’s Eve” from Nina Gordon (Veruca Salt). This is from her first solo record, Tonight and the Rest Of My Life. This was the first we got from Nina after her departure from Veruca Salt in 1998. It is a fantastic record. Every song is punchy and sweet with really great lyrics.

The second, would have to be the obvious choice. The classic “New Year’s Day” by U2. They just don’t write ’em like this anymore! (Below is the video version and album version)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
